The Minister of Transport, Mr. Mohammed Al-Shahoubi, met today with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Taher Al-Baour, as part of the follow-up on the case of the vessel \u201cBadr,\u201d which is detained at the port of Burgas in Bulgaria.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Transport for Administrative Affairs and Maritime Transport, Mr. Wissam Al-Idrisi, the Ambassador of the State of Libya to Bulgaria, Mr. Abu Bakr Saeed, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Maritime Transport Company, Mr. Diaa Bakra, along with a number of department directors from the company, in addition to the Director of the European Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The attendees reviewed the latest developments in the case and the measures taken by the National Maritime Transport Company, particularly on the judicial front. It was emphasized that the legal process is progressing positively so far and in favor of the company, despite the complexity of the case and the multiple lawsuits filed against the vessel.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Minister and the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs commended the efforts made by the National Maritime Transport Company, as well as the role of the Libyan Embassy in Bulgaria in continuously following up and coordinating on this matter.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Both sides agreed to move forward with a joint action program combining both legal and political tracks, with the aim of supporting the implementation of issued court rulings and engaging with the relevant authorities in Bulgaria, in a manner that ensures the protection of the rights of the Libyan state and the National Maritime Transport Company.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
